On being worried

HerEminence_Worry_Face Age is such a powerful added value to the person. The more you grow with time, the more you get your eyes opened to many things you probably would never think are that important.

Take for instance, health. I remember when I was young, I would be excited to get  a cold, not the runny nose of course but the funny Helium-like voice that you start speaking with, and the skip school aftermath. Then my brother had his car accident, and I saw someone I love so much get into much pain, laid in bed for a couple of months where his basic needs were so freaking hard to do. Health now is no more a joke, and those who goof around with their own safety are top down my list of people I respect.

Take for instance, stress. So many things can stress you out, deadlines, work, family, life decisions, this 3arees* or that 3arees (this is JUST an inserted joke), weight, traffic jam and the typical daily things that although are so miner but can really bug the hell out of you. My recent one is my car, I do believe it’s jinxed, and I’m starting to freak out whenever a car approaches me, I’m becoming one of those, those in the street that we say: what the hell is wrong with her! Yes I admit that.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Charles M. Schulz (1922 - 2000)

My recent experience is the process of worrying. The one that doesn’t make you sleep the night, or wakes you up in the middle of the night. The one that makes you even when out with people and is happy with whatever is going on, suddenly disappear from where you’re sitting to another world of your own creation.

“Worry is the misuse of your imagination. It is thinking vividly about what you don't want to happen in the future or dwelling on an unhappy past event. “

I learnt that worry can be a big experience, I always blame mom for how much she worries, for even the tiniest things, why would you spend a lot of time doing worry as a daily practice while you can just live and let live? You can’t change past things, you can’t control the future and you certainly can’t avoid what is meant to happen except of course in certain situations. Now I’m becoming my mom, and I do believe that in one way or another we do become like our parents, I see A Fafraf in Milad, A Fafraf in Joanna, and not yet a RafRaf in Marwan but I’m sure he’ll come to it too. I love you Rafraf, sho bedna nsawi! :)

Still the hell with worry, I had enough of you.
